Ultrasound Examination Device

Hardware Division

We are developing a groundbreaking device that enables ultrasound examinations by simply wrapping it around the abdomen.

The core component, a gel mat, is made of silicone elastomer, which excels in skin compatibility, ultrasound transmission, and durability. The device contains multiple ultrasound transceivers embedded within.

Ultrasound reflection images are processed rapidly by the GPU integrated into the device. While the prototype is powered via a power outlet, future versions will feature battery operation, enabling examinations without movement restrictions.

Currently, examinations were limited to a lying-down position. However, our device allows expectant mothers to monitor their baby's condition even while walking or sitting—activities that make up most of their daily lives.

3D Fetal Examination Model

Software Division

Using multiple ultrasound transceivers (probes), the device integrates reflection images captured from various angles to create a 3D representation of the baby.

Based on the size and movement of individual body parts, the software estimates the baby's weight and overall health (vitality).

Current manual examinations lack the ability to record precise details such as the probe's position and angle on the abdomen, often resulting in inconsistencies in results depending on the examiner.

Our device minimizes these inconsistencies by systematically directing ultrasound waves and comprehensively covering the abdomen with a gel mat, ensuring more consistent and reliable results.

Information Sharing and Collaboration

User Interface Division

Using secure wireless communication, the baby's image is displayed on a handheld device, making it easy for spouse or older siblings to view the baby together.

We are also developing an intuitive platform to share these special moments with distant family members and friends. This platform integrates with popular apps such as Mitene, Instagram, and Facebook.

We hope these features will support families as they prepare to welcome their new baby.

In cases where abnormalities or medical indications are detected, the system is being designed to enable secure and seamless sharing of information with affiliated medical institutions.
